Airbrush Tanning - Services
Airbrush Tanning - $45
Airbrush tanning is a process of applying a mist of tanning solution to your body using an airbrush machine. The tanning solutions main ingredient is known as dihydroxacetone (DHA) a simple non-toxic sugar approved by the FDA. Airbrush tanning is great for people who may find it hard to tan in natural sunlight or tanning beds. Airbrush tanning is not a long term commitment, so its great for first time users. An airbrush tan will usually last 5-10 days depending on skin type, activity levels, pre-tan maintenance and post tan maintenance(available at salon). Airbrush tan is fast acting, long lasting, smooth, streak-free and a tan physique gives a slimmer appearance.
DAY BEFORE TAN: SHAVE & EXFOLIATE... Be sure not to use a "moisturizing" exfoliate because these contain lotion and/or oils. Shower gel with beads and a loofah is not proper form of exfoliation.
DAY OF TAN: Shower and remove any body lotion, moisturizers, perfume, deodorant, make-up. These products create a barrier between the solution and your tan. To avoid tan lines do not wear jewelry (keep off for a few hours after). Arriving to appointment wear dark loose fit clothing (continue to wear these clothes for 4-6 hours after the appointment) and flip flops if possible. The session will take 15-20 minutes. Ladies... you are welcome to wear as much or as little as you are comfortable with, just keep in mind tan lines (shower caps & disposable thongs available for $1.00 each) Gentlemen... we request you wear underwear, boxes or swimwear.
POST TAN: Allow airbrush tan to dry at least 6-8 hours before showering. Your first shower should be a light shower, you are simply rinsing excess solution off the surface of your skin. Do not exfoliate during this shower. It is very important to MOISTURIZE, MOISTURIZE, MOISTURIZE daily. Tan extender with traces of DHA are recommended (available at salon) to keep a prolonged tan. Avoid taking long hot baths and a lot of exposure to chlorine.
REMEMBER: Airbrush Tan does not provide any sunscreen protection. You should apply sunscreen accordingly. Skin will appear to be tan but it is not its artificial. There id no Sun Protection Factor (SPF).
